The tournament organizers are putting together an event that combines cutting edge science and social awareness with a unique and spectacular sport. Proceeds from this unique event will go towards: 1) increasing the scientific information on the mako sharks that inhabit the Pacific Ocean off of Southern California and 2) the St. Jude’s Hospital and Casting for Recovery charities.
