Summer is Quickly Approaching
June 04, 2008 - 07:32 AM
Summer is quickly approaching! The increased
temperature of the season, is drawing the latent
schools of fish closer to shore and much easier to
find and catch. Schools of bonita can be found
straining the muscles of fly anglers and the larger
pelagic game fish, although still a bit out - are
coming closer to the shelf. School sized
yellowtails along with Calicos are being found and
caught with regularity in the Point Loma & La
Jolla Kelp beds. All this emerging action is
stirring up a larger, more deadly game fish... The
incredibly agile and powerful Mako Shark. A fiercer
cousin of the blue shark, these beautiful game fish
are the ultimate fly rod catch. Don't waste time!
Book your day on the water today. Spots are limited

Winter Season Blues..
March 21, 2008 - 08:06 PM
Winter doesn't have to mean hanging up your rods
and heading inland. There are plenty of fast paced
opportunities still going off. San Diego's Blue
Shark fishery is one of Southern California's
untapped recreational activities. When the Mako
sharks head farther away from shore, their blue
cousins provide anglers with plenty of adventure
and fun. Early winter provided us with plenty of
blue shark fun - with some days with double digit
catches! 2008 is still very productive. Book your
trip now and warm up your blood to San Diego's
newest angling adventure. Fishing for Blue
Sharks... On the fly.
